We hope that you'll be able to join us at our wedding in Sonoma! We know California is a long way for many of you. If you're able to make the trip, we hope this website will help make it as easy as possible. Check back to this page as the date approaches for more information about housing, travel, events, etc!
We will be in Sonoma the whole week leading up to the wedding and we would love to spend time with anyone who is able to make it out early. We don't have any official activities planned yet, but we hope to schedule some casual outings (vineyard tours, bike rides, etc.) for whoever is in town.

All are encouraged to join us on Friday night for a casual evening of Pizza and Pinot. The Rehearsal Dinner will be held at Ramekins Inn & Culinary School, located just under a mile from Sonoma Plaza. There is plenty of on-site parking.
The Barn at Tyge William Cellars

Our ceremony and reception will take place at The Barn at Tyge William Cellars. This is a brand new event space located about ten minutes driving from Sonoma Plaza. Much of the information you find about it online is outdated, so please be sure to use the address above!
Tyge William Cellars is a working vineyard and, weather allowing, we will be outside. Please bear this in mind when making your footwear selections!
Your options for flying in and out of the Bay Area are numerous, to say the least. Those flying from the East Coast and Midwest may have the best luck with San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Oakland International Airport (OAK), each located just over an hour's drive from Sonoma. Those coming from the West Coast should check out the Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa, which runs a few daily flights from Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, and San Diego. If necessary, you can also check out San Jose International Airport (SJC), located about two hours from Sonoma, and Sacramento International Airport (SMF), located about an hour and a half from Sonoma.
To properly experience Sonoma, we recommend you rent a car for your visit. Wineries and attractions are spread out, and public transportation is tricky. Airport buses and Uber do exist in the area, but are not always as reliable as you’re probably used to.
October is harvest season in Sonoma, and the most popular month to visit. Hotels book up early and the prices increase, so we encourage you to book your lodging as soon as possible!
Because of the wide variety of lodging options, there is no official hotel block for the wedding. Here are the options we recommend.
If you are planning to stay a few nights, we highly recommend you look into renting a house on VRBO, which stands for Vacation Rental By Owner. There are some extraordinary houses available (think: hot tub and vineyard views!) at much more affordable prices than area hotels. When searching for a place to stay, we recommend you use Sonoma Plaza as home base rather than the venue itself.
You'll find the most (and best) rental options on VRBO, though AirBNB is worth checking out as well.
Beautiful hotels are a dime a dozen in Sonoma, though the prices are often shocking. Here are a few we like:
Beautiful Mission-style hotel ten minutes from the Plaza. Rooms are small, but lobby, grounds, and spa are excellent. $$$
One mile from the Plaza with a free shuttle bus. Rooms are spacious but basic. Great outdoor spaces. $$
Five minute walk from Sonoma Plaza. Quaint but comfortable rooms. $$
Small, modern hotel situated directly on Sonoma Plaza. Rooms are tiny but location is premium. $$
Zen-themed B&B located in Glen Ellen—fifteen minutes from the Plaza. More rural location. $$
Basic Sheraton located in Petaluma—a twenty-five minute drive from Sonoma Plaza. $

In early October of 2012, Mitri found Tess on OKCupid and sent her a witty message. "This foreign guy seems great," Tess thought. They met at a bar on 10/11/12 and spent the next four hours talking about their respective recent trips to Russia, Mitri's non-Russian upbringing, their orthodontic woes, their wonderful families, and more. Hurricane Sandy hit New York a few weeks later and "accidentally" stranded Mitri for four days on Tess's side of the East River. The rest is history.
